MAY WEEKEND YOGA RETREAT
MAY YOGA RETREAT
2-3rd May 2020
The Acorn Wellness Retreat, Harrogate
Spring/Summer retreats at The Acorn are always kind of magical. Every year I am surprised by how well The Acorn transforms and moves with the seasons, which perhaps is silly, after all, it is very much built from and within nature.
In the winter The Acorn is cosy. The wooden walls, the blankets that are thrown everywhere, and a lit wood burner, work like a haven from the cold. But in summer it’s as though nature encroaches. We open the huge doors, the light shines in, and if we are lucky we can even practice our yoga classes on the patio outside.
I tend to theme my retreats in line with the seasons; from the food I cook to the classes I teach, and this May will be no different. In the the winter we eat warm hearty meals, winter spices, root veggies, and the classes, especially in the New Year, are about coming back to the start, going over basics, checking in with what might have become habit and revisiting that with intention.
This spring will look different, things will be lighter. Regarding food this has previously looked like assortment of large salads, homemade ice creams, bircher muesli… and with our yoga there will be movement towards being more playful and creative.

The retreat is for all levels, but some yoga experience is recommended - however if you are interested but are a complete beginner please contact me and we can talk in more depth about this.
Come together or alone - we always have a mix of people coming along.
The rooms are shared (just in twos and one three). However this has only been a positive thing in the past, so please don't worry if you are coming alone! We do not spend much time in the rooms; there is plenty of space to find alone time should you wish for it.
You can have a look at the beautiful space that is The Acorn by checking out their website HERE.
